A New Breath of Fresh Air at Mersin University Faculty of Pharmacy: MEKSA Begins Its Activities

The Pharmacy Culture and Arts Society (MEKSA), founded by students of the Mersin University Faculty of Pharmacy, has been officially established to enrich the cultural and artistic activities of our university. The society, whose academic advisor is Dr. Şerife Efsun ANTMEN, a faculty member, made its first official visit to the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN, on May 6, 2026.

During the visit, the student members of the society's executive board presented MEKSA's vision, mission, and projects planned for the upcoming period to the Dean's office. The Dean emphasized the importance of developing students' social, cultural, and artistic aspects alongside their pharmacy education, stating that they fully support the society and wishing MEKSA members success.

Following the visit, MEKSA opened its first promotional stand at the Yenişehir Campus, meeting with students. At the stand, which attracted great interest from faculty students, the aims of the community were explained and membership registrations were taken.
