Our faculty member, Research Assistant Rumeysa Balcı Polat, successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Mu'tazilite Differentiation within Iraqi Hanafiism in the 4th and 5th (Hijri) Centuries: On the Axis of Kerhi, Cessas, and Saymeri,” prepared under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osman Aydınlı, a faculty member of the Department of History of Islamic Sects at Ankara University.
