The Educational Institutions Administrator Training Program, implemented by the Ministry of National Education under the Law No. 7528 on the Teaching Profession and coordinated by the Presidency of the National Education Academy, and applied in all 81 provinces of Türkiye, has been successfully completed in Mersin. Mersin University made a significant contribution to this strategic project of the Ministry, encompassing approximately 35,000 educational administrators and administrator candidates, with its academic knowledge and experience.

The program, completed between May 16, 2026 and June 14, 2026, provided school administrators and administrator candidates with comprehensive training in areas such as educational leadership, managerial ethics, disaster and crisis management, human rights and democratic culture, technology management, cultural sensitivity, stress and emotion management.

In this important project conducted by the Ministry, faculty members from Mersin University's Silifke Vocational School actively participated as trainers. These included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Saygın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Garip Yarşı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Çelik, Lecturer Fatma Yeşil, and Lecturer [Name missing]. Zeynep Öğüt and Lecturer İbrahim Duman provided academic contributions to the professional development of school administrators by teaching in different training modules.

The program, conducted in collaboration with the Mersin Provincial Directorate of National Education, the Silifke District Directorate of National Education, and Mersin University, demonstrated a strong example of public-university cooperation. The trainings, which enabled the application of academic knowledge, contributed to the improvement of the qualifications of education administrators, while also reflecting the university's mission of social contribution in the field.

Following a visit to our school by the Silifke District Directorate of National Education to present the certificates of appreciation, our Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Muhammet Saygın stated, "Under the coordination of the Silifke District National Education Directorate and with the support of instructors from our Silifke Vocational School, we successfully completed the first stage of the Ministry of National Education's Manager Training Program for the Mersin 2nd Region in Silifke. We would like to thank our Silifke District National Education Director Fevzi Kültigin Eroğlu and our Branch Manager Bülent Akşahin, who visited us to present the certificates of appreciation issued by the Ministry of National Education's Manager Academy Presidency. With the hope that this will be a year in which inter-institutional cooperation and interaction continue to increase, we wish continued success to our trainees/managers who participated in the trainings."
