A “Career Day” event was held by the First and Emergency Aid Program of Mersin University Health Services Vocational School in cooperation with the Paramedic and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Association (PARHAD). The event, held in the Health Services Vocational School Conference Hall, attracted significant interest from 1st and 2nd year students of the First and Emergency Aid Program. The event was attended by the Director of the Health Services Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Gülay Altun Uğraş, Deputy Directors Lecturers Yasemin Salkın and Dr. Serdar Ulak, the Head of the Medical Services and Techniques Department, Assoc. Dr. Leyla Bahar, and the PARHAD provincial management. As part of the program, experienced professionals met with students to share their professional experiences, career paths, and current practices encountered in pre-hospital emergency medical services. At the event, speakers Süleyman Sırrı Kırtıl, Muhammed Melikoğulları, Murat Şahin Gülşen, Müzeyyen Koçali, Kadir Sağlık, Halil Durna, and Tuğba Aptil answered students' questions and provided important information regarding career planning. The opening speech was given by the Director of the Vocational School of Health Services, Prof. Dr. Gülay Altun Uğraş, who highlighted the critical role of first aid and emergency services in the healthcare system and emphasized the importance of the paramedic profession. She also stated that career day events play a significant role in preparing students for their professional lives and thanked those who contributed to the organization. The Career Day event, which saw active student participation, concluded with a cake cutting ceremony and a group photo session after the speeches. Held in a warm and productive atmosphere, the event increased students' motivation towards their professions and provided a valuable opportunity to meet with industry representatives.
