Hosted by the Office of International Relations and Projects at Mersin University, a productive meeting was held with Dr. Filippo Verre and Edoardo Campanile from Lund University—one of Sweden’s long-standing and prestigious higher education institutions—to explore new project and academic collaboration opportunities.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ümit İzgi Onbaşılı, Coordinator of International Relations and Projects; Abdi Kurt, Coordinator of the Technology Transfer Office; Prof. Dr. Deniz Ayaş, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Özbay.

During the meeting, potential joint project topics and academic collaborations between Mersin University and Lund University, as well as possible studies in the fields of water, environment, sustainability, hydro-strategy, and energy, were discussed. It was noted that the meeting represents an important step toward achieving our university’s vision of internationalization and strengthening project-based academic collaborations.
