An information event titled "Professional Solidarity and Our Identity" will be organized by the Anatolian Fisheries Engineers Association (ANA-SÜM-DER) under the coordination of the Faculty of Fisheries at Mersin University. The event will address the importance of the fisheries engineering profession, current problems faced by professionals, strengthening professional solidarity, and efforts to create a strong engineering identity. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about ANA-SÜM-DER's founding purpose, areas of activity, and future goals.

The speaker for the program will be Baran Kırboğa, the President of the ANA-SÜM-DER Mersin Branch and a Fisheries Engineer. Kırboğa will provide insights on the work being done for the development of the profession, current developments in the sector, and the importance of solidarity among colleagues.

The event will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, between 16:00 and 17:00 at the Faculty of Fisheries, Mersin University Yenişehir Campus. The program, open to students studying in the field of aquaculture engineering and professionals working in the sector, aims to contribute to increasing professional awareness and strengthening communication among sector stakeholders.
