Mersin University's Elderly Care Program, in collaboration with the Mersin Provincial Directorate of National Education, organized career planning events in various high schools. As part of this, 11th and 12th grade students from the Elderly and Patient Care departments of Fatma Aliye Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Sabiha Çiftçi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, and Hafza Sultan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School participated in the program. Our school's 1st and 2nd year Elderly Care Program students also participated, sharing their experiences. The event was conducted by Lecturers Dr. Melek Yeşil Bayülgen and Dr. Yasemin Salkın. The academics met with the students and provided information about the Elderly Care Program, its importance, the departments they can transfer to from the elderly care field, and the future of the program. During the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions in a question-and-answer session. The event was considered an important guidance opportunity to enable students to step into the future with confidence and to support young people in making informed decisions about their career choices.
