The 15th annual R&D Project Market event, organized by Mersin University Technology Transfer Office, began on Tuesday, May 5th. The event, which brings together entrepreneurs and investors, showcased various projects.

On the first day of the event, held at the Prof. Dr. Uğur Oral Culture Center on the MEU Çiftlikköy Campus, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk, along with Mersin TTO Coordinator Abdi Kurt, received information about the projects. Over 100 projects were exhibited, and young students also presented their projects to Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk stated that the R&D Project Market is not only an event showcasing innovative projects, but also a strong collaborative environment where the university's intellectual capital is managed, students and academics develop more effective projects, and the commercialization processes of R&D outputs are accelerated. He added that Mersin University operates with the motto and vision of being a world university in the light of science and modernity. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk stated, “Our university, under the leadership of our esteemed Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, is making a concerted effort to spread a culture of research and innovation. The most concrete and traditional platform for these efforts is this R&D Project Market we are organizing. This event serves as a crucial bridge where ideas meet industry, and academic knowledge is transformed into economic and social value.”

The 15th R&D Project Market 2026, sponsored by the Mersin Chamber of Commerce, aims to support innovative ideas and encourage university-industry collaboration through awards. The award ceremony will be held on May 6th at 2 PM.
