Students from the Tourism and Hotel Management Program at the Vocational School of Social Sciences explored the historical and cultural riches of Mersin on-site as part of a "Religious and Cultural Sites Tour," accompanied by their instructor, Lecturer İbrahim Çakan.

Starting from Mersin city center, the tour included visits to spiritual sites such as the Muğdat Mosque and the Ulu Mosque, as well as the Latin Italian Church and the Greek Orthodox Church, allowing students to examine the city's atmosphere of tolerance. The tour also included stops at the Archaeology Museum, the Mustafa Erim City Museum, and the Atatürk House, offering a journey into the city's historical memory.

Through this comprehensive technical tour, which also included a visit to the train station building, students gained valuable experience in tourism destination management by blending their theoretical knowledge with on-site cultural heritage.
