A conference on "Family Economics and Budget Management" was held at the Mersin Martyr Altuğ Verdi Police Vocational Training Center on April 22, 2026.

The conference was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil Tomak, Head of the Management and Organization Department of our Vocational School. The program covered the fundamental principles of family economics, income-expenditure balance, budget planning processes, and financial awareness within an academic framework.

Participants received practical information on the effective use of economic resources at the individual and family levels, developing a savings mindset, and sustainable budget management.

At the end of the conference, a plaque of appreciation was presented to the invited speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serpil Tomak. The event concluded as a productive training activity that contributed to increasing the financial literacy levels of the participants.
