The Mersin University Chip Design Laboratory team successfully passed the first stage of the TEKNOFEST 2026 Chip Design Competition in the Microcontroller Category during the Preliminary Design Report evaluation.

Led by Dr. Hakan Işıker from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the team scored 85.45 points among 104 teams in the Microcontroller Category, ranking 3rd overall and 2nd among the teams from Türkiye. With this result, the team qualified to proceed to the next stage of the competition, the Detailed Design Report (DDR) process.

We congratulate our students and their advisor for this achievement and wish them continued success in the upcoming stages of the competition.
