The book donation campaign, conducted by the Marketing and Advertising Department of Mersin University's Vocational School of Social Sciences with a focus on social contribution and responsibility, has been successfully completed. The 4360 books collected during the two-month campaign were delivered to Necati Volkan Primary School on March 26, 2026, with the participation of the Head of Department, Lecturer Dr. Sedef Şahin Geçgel, and Lecturer Hasan Özbek, accompanied by students. The team was welcomed by the school administration and students.

The fact that the number of books collected is sufficient to establish a library within the school was the most important achievement of the campaign. The activity not only provided tangible educational support but also significantly contributed to the development of social responsibility awareness among students.

The fact that the book delivery took place during Library Week further enhanced the meaning and importance of the activity, and the school administration expressed its gratitude to those who contributed to the campaign. Both parties expressed their hope for the sustainable continuation of similar social contribution projects.

The relevant program and teaching staff were also thanked by our College Directorate for their valuable contributions and efforts in carrying out this meaningful activity.
