The Erasmus + Project Has Been Succesfully Completed
The “Self-Discovering Youth” Erasmus+ project, supported by the Turkish National Agency and Erasmus Plus Projects and hosted by Mersin University between April 2-9, 2026, has been successfully completed.
The project, which included a total of 35 participants from Turkey and Hungary, provided young people with the opportunity to experience different cultures, express themselves, and discover their individual potential over the course of a week. Through workshops, group activities, and cultural exchanges, participants contributed to their personal development and forged international friendships.
The closing ceremony was attended by the project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Kadir Ulusoy, as well as Mersin University faculty member Prof. Dr. Serdarhan Musa Taşkaya and Mersin University Entrepreneurship Port Manager Dr. Gürbüz Çomak.
In his closing speech, Prof. Dr. Kadir Ulusoy thanked all the young participants and highlighted the importance of Erasmus+ projects. Ulusoy stated that thanks to such projects, the world has become a global village, and young people from different cultures have the opportunity to understand each other better. He also advised young people to closely follow Erasmus+ projects and to recommend these experiences to their friends.
Ulusoy also thanked Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar for his contribution to the realization of the project and for ensuring its effective implementation.
This meaningful project, hosted by Mersin University, was successfully completed, making significant contributions to the individual and social development of the participants. The university aims to continue hosting similar projects that strengthen international collaborations.
