A meeting focused on international projects and collaborations was held at the Office of the Dean of Research at Mersin University. The meeting was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öztürk, our Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit İzgi Onbaşılı, our Dean of Research Prof. Dr. Caner Özdemir, and our Office of the Dean of Research International Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yuyucu Karabulut.

During the meeting, visits to the Fraunhofer IPA Institute and the University of Stuttgart were reviewed, and potential collaboration opportunities were discussed. Additionally, planned Erasmus collaborations were discussed in connection with the visit to be made by Dr. Filippo Verre from Lund University in June.

Information was also shared regarding an online training session on “Horizon Projects” to be delivered by Dr. Dilay Kesten Erhart from Fraunhofer IPA on April 22, 2026. It was noted that these initiatives are expected to make significant contributions to the university’s international project capacity.
