The Biology Department Seminar Series Continues at Full Speed!

As part of the "Biology Department Seminars-2" organized by the Mersin University Biology Department, Prof. Dr. Remziye Serap ERGENE ÜZDİYEN met with us with her presentation titled "Inspirations from Legendary China".

The seminar, held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Uğur Oral Culture Center and simultaneously on online platforms (hybrid), examined the millennia-old cultural, historical, and philosophical heritage of ancient Chinese civilization.

Highlights of the Seminar:

Individual development processes in the context of lifelong learning,

The contributions of cultural awareness to the academic perspective,

The importance of interdisciplinary thinking for biology and other scientific disciplines.

The event, primarily attended by undergraduate students, discussed how ancient wisdom can be blended with modern scientific thought. This productive discussion, which received very positive feedback from participants, concluded with a question-and-answer session.
