Internal Stakeholder Meeting On International Student Processes

The Office of Student Affairs at Mersin University organized an Internal Stakeholder Meeting on March 25, 2026, with the aim of improving processes for international students and strengthening internal coordination.

The meeting was attended by our Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit İzgi Onbaşılı, and Lecturer Ayşe Banu Akdoğan, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Acı; Department Heads Canan Şimşek and Hakan Sabah; TUAM representative Lecturer Hakan Akgöz; Department Head Nilgün Getizmen; and Lecturers Özge Gül Zerey and Bengü Sezer from the School of Foreign Languages.

The meeting focused on efforts to enhance the university’s international recognition and issues related to the academic and social lives of international students. The program concluded with a session to hear students’ requests and suggestions.
