Our Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit İzgi Onbaşılı, conducted academic and institutional meetings at the University of Stuttgart and the Turkish Consulate General in Stuttgart, Germany. Discussions with Consul General Makbule Koçak Kaçar and Education Attaché Ali Değirmendereli focused on internationalization in higher education, Turkey-Germany academic cooperation, and Erasmus internship programs.

Additionally, during meetings held at Fraunhofer, discussions took place with Dr. Robert Miehe, Head of the “Sustainable Value Creation Systems” Research Division; Dilay Kesten Erhart, Deputy Head of Research Strategy; and Raphaela Camargo Garcia, a researcher in the Sustainability and Material Suitability Management Division.

These contacts are expected to strengthen Mersin University’s internationalization vision, enhance academic relations with European institutions, and contribute to new project and mobility opportunities.
