Logistics Program Students Met With Industry Representatives At Atako Professional Development Seminar

Students from the Logistics Program at Mersin University's Vocational School of Social Sciences met with industry representatives as part of the ATAKO Professional Development Seminar. The event was coordinated by Logistics Program faculty members Lecturer Erdem Daşçı and Lecturer Dr. Gül Ferhande Canpolat.

During the seminar, ATAKO Senior Operations Specialist Yağmur Bakşi met with students and provided information about import operations, documents used in import processes, and practices in the logistics sector. Explaining operational processes in the sector with examples, Bakşi emphasized the importance of proper document management and operational planning in international trade and logistics activities.

At the end of the program, during the question-and-answer session, students had the opportunity to directly ask the industry representative questions about import processes and practices. This allowed students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with industry experience.

At the end of the event, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Yağmur Bakşi by Lecturer Dr. Gül Ferhande Canpolat of the Vocational School of Social Sciences for her contributions to the seminar.

It was stated that the seminar, with its structure that combines theory and practice, made a significant contribution to the development of students' professional knowledge and awareness regarding the logistics sector.
