A Coordination Meeting for Scientific Journals Held at Our University
A coordination meeting was held on March 3, 2026, to evaluate the current status of scientific journals published within our university, review publication policies, and discuss a roadmap for international indexing processes.
The meeting, chaired by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Çetin, took place in the Rectorate Senate Hall and was attended by the editors-in-chief of the scientific journals published within our university.
During the meeting, a presentation was given by the Scientific Journals Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Orhan, providing information on the current status of the journals published within our university, ongoing development efforts, and planned activities for 2026. The presentation particularly addressed the journals' application processes for international indexing, improving publication quality, strengthening editorial processes, and increasing the international visibility of the journals.
Following the presentation, the editors-in-chief evaluated the current status of the journals, the problems encountered, and suggestions for improvement, engaging in an exchange of views. The meeting addressed potential initiatives to strengthen the national and international standing of our university's scientific journals.
The meeting concluded with expressions of hope for supporting the institutional development of scientific journals and strengthening coordination to ensure more effective publication processes.
