The 16th Tourism Career Days were held on February 27, 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Tourism at Mersin University. The event brought together leading representatives of Turkey's tourism sector with students.

Students from the Tourism and Hotel Management program at the Vocational School of Social Sciences showed great interest in the event, which was attended by well-known hotel chains and tourism businesses from Turkey. During the event, students had the opportunity to conduct one-on-one job interviews with industry professionals. A large number of our students received positive feedback for positions aligned with their field of study, securing significant career opportunities.

The fact that the professional knowledge, communication skills, and sectoral awareness of our Tourism and Hotel Management program students were highly appreciated by employers once again demonstrated the application-oriented and sector-integrated nature of the education received.

Our Vocational School's Head of the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department, Lecturer Dr. Murat Özdamar, along with Lecturers Burak Çetinkaya and İbrahim Çakan, participated in the event. The participation of faculty members from the relevant departments, which led to students being guided towards suitable job and internship opportunities, was evaluated as a concrete and successful outcome of university-industry collaboration.

The 16th Tourism Career Days contributed to its participants as a productive and motivating event in terms of guiding students towards their professional futures.
