Artificial Intelligence Applications İn Logistics Were Discussed At The Professional Development Seminar
The event, organized by the Logistics Program of Mersin University's Vocational School of Social Sciences, was held as part of the ATAKO Professional Development Seminar and coordinated by Logistics Program Lecturer Erdem Daşçı. Within the framework of the program, Senior IT Specialist Mustafa Gör met with students and shared current developments regarding artificial intelligence applications in the logistics sector.
The seminar addressed the impact of digital transformation processes on logistics activities, AI-supported planning, demand forecasting, route optimization, and operations management applications, evaluating changing business models in the sector from a multi-dimensional perspective. The aim was to enable students to gain an analytical perspective on technology-based transformation processes and to increase their awareness of future logistics applications.
In the question-and-answer session held at the end of the program, students had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the impact of AI use in the sector on professional competencies and career opportunities. At the end of the event, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Mustafa Gör by the Deputy Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, Lecturer Dr. Emrah Yıldız, for his contributions. The event, with its structure that combined theory and practice, made a significant contribution to the students' professional vision.
