The final workshop of the “Combating Disinformation with Pedagogical Approaches and the Effects of Digital Media” project, conducted by the Adana Regional Directorate of the Presidency of Communications, was held in Adana, following Mersin and Hatay. The summit, titled “Staying Safe in the Digital World,” hosted participants with a rich program consisting of panels, conferences, workshops, and seminars.

The summit, held under the auspices of the Adana Governorship and in collaboration with Mersin University, Çukurova University, Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, and Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, saw active participation from our university's faculty members.

Lecturer Dr. Gülten Acar served as moderator in the session on “Verification Practices and Collaboration Models,” while Lecturer Dr. Hacı Mehmet Acar contributed to the summit program with a workshop titled “Visual Manipulation Analysis and Verification Techniques.”

Furthermore, the results report of the workshop held in Mersin on May 5-6, 2025, as part of the first phase of the project, was shared with the public by Dr. Gülten Acar during the "Regional Digital Security Perspective: Mersin-Adana-Hatay Results Forum" section of the summit.

Following the workshop, plaques were presented to our professors by Mustafa Yalınız, the Adana Regional Director of the Presidency's Communications Directorate.
