A Promotional Event Was Held At The Social Sciences Vocational School For The Support Unit Against Sexual Harassment And Assault

The "Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault (CTS) Unit Directive," prepared by our university's Women's Issues Application and Research Center (MERKAM) and approved by the Rectorate Senate, continues its promotional and informational activities for the CTS Support Unit established within the university. One of these informational meetings was held at Mersin University's Vocational School of Social Sciences. At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Canan Tasouji, Deputy Director of MERKAM and faculty member of the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Communication, provided comprehensive information to students and academic staff about the purpose of the CTS Support Unit, its working procedures, application processes, and possible legal mechanisms.

The informational meeting also emphasized the importance of the CTS Support Unit in creating a safe campus environment, preventing cases of sexual harassment and assault, making application processes accessible, and strengthening gender equality. Participants had the opportunity to gain awareness about the unit's operation and application procedures.

At the end of the program, a presentation was given at the informational meeting held at the Vocational School of Social Sciences. Associate Professor Dr. Canan Tasouji was presented with a certificate of appreciation for her contributions. The event concluded after a photo session.
