Mersin University's Vocational School of Social Sciences, Department of Marketing and Advertising, organized a talk titled "From Store to Customer: Success in the Retail Sector," aimed at strengthening industry-university collaboration.

The event was attended by Özcan Demir, President of the Mersin Retailers' and Businesspeople's Association; Muhammed Sadık Özkan, President of the Mersin Furniture Manufacturers' and Businesspeople's Association; and Ufuk Toydemir, Manager of Forum Shopping Mall.

As part of the talk, Özcan Demir, President of the Mersin Retailers' and Businesspeople's Association, assessed the role of traditional sales in retailing and experience-based sales methods. Forum Shopping Mall Manager Ufuk Toydemir provided comprehensive information on the current dynamics of the retail sector, changing consumer behavior, and developments in digital retailing, offering suggestions for students' entry into the sector, career planning, and project development opportunities. Muhammed Sadık Özkan, President of the Mersin Furniture Manufacturers' and Businesspeople's Association, shared his experiences on competitive advantage, customer relations, and business processes in furniture retailing.

During the talk, students asked questions about the sector. Comprehensive information was obtained on the application areas.
