A Seminar Titled The Art Of Effective And Eloquent Speech Was Organized By TRT Çukurova Radio Presenter Mehmet Fatih Kılınç
Mersin University's Department of Office Services and Secretarial Services at the Vocational School of Social Sciences and the Office Management and Executive Assistant Program hosted an important training event within the scope of the "Effective and Effective Speaking" course and the "Communication" course in the Office Technologies and Data Management Program. The seminar, held on December 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM, was attended by Mehmet Fatih Kılınç, a presenter for TRT Çukurova Radio.
The seminar, titled "The Art of Effective and Effective Speaking," included comprehensive information on diction, articulation, tone of voice, emphasis, the role of body language in communication, and professional presentation skills. It emphasized the importance of effective communication skills because they enhance professional presentation, contribute to students' professional stance in business, and are a key element of success in the workplace. It was noted that accurate, fluent, and understandable speech directly impacts communication quality, particularly in fields such as office services, secretarial work, and executive assistantships.
The seminar included: The Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevat Erci̇k, the Vice Director, Instructor Dr. Pelin Kılınç Özüölmez, the Department Head, Instructor Dr. Burcu Pekduyurucu, and faculty members Instructor Özlem Erdoğan Or, Instructor Abdülmecit Mısır, and Instructor Dr. Yunus Doğan were also in attendance. The students had the opportunity to hear effective speaking techniques from an experienced radio announcer, gaining significant learning opportunities.
At the end of the program, Mehmet Fatih Kılınç was presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Director of the Vocational School of Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cevat Erci̇k, for his contributions. Following the presentation of the certificate, the seminar concluded with a group photo.
