The second session of the "Social Media Addiction" training program, organized as part of the Mersin Teacher Academies Guidance Academy, run by the Mersin Provincial Directorate of National Education, has been successfully completed. The training, which aimed to increase teachers' awareness of the digital world, was delivered by Mersin University Lecturer Dr. Pelin Kılınç Özüölmez.

The training covered the definition of social media addiction, digital factors that trigger the addiction cycle, signs of problematic use, and the impact, particularly on users. It also focused on the forms of manipulation encountered on social media, how algorithms shape user behavior, and the importance of digital detox for healthy technology use.

Participating teachers had the opportunity to develop the up-to-date knowledge required for guidance roles in the digital age through a comprehensive presentation that included both theoretical information and practical suggestions.

The program concluded with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to Lecturer Dr. Pelin Kılınç Özüölmez and a group photo.
