The Mersin Police Department's Counterterrorism Branch, Information and Prevention Activities Bureau, conducted an awareness training program at Mersin University's School of Social Sciences. Students were briefed on numerous topics vital to public safety and personal awareness.

The training covered key points in family and friendship relationships, the safe and conscious use of social media, appropriate behavior regarding suspicious packages, suspicious individuals, and suspicious vehicles, and recruitment methods targeting young people. Through case studies and practical explanations, police officers aimed to help students develop their skills in recognizing potential risks and utilizing appropriate recourse mechanisms.

Following the event, the School of Social Sciences administration expressed their gratitude to the students and faculty who participated in the informational activities, as well as to the Mersin Police Department personnel who participated in the training for their support and contributions to university-community collaboration.
