A joint online "External Stakeholder Meeting" was held on November 19, 2025, between the Biology Departments of Mersin University, Adıyaman University, and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University in order to improve the quality of education and develop interuniversity collaboration. This productive meeting, which lasted approximately two hours, was attended by Prof. Dr. Süphan KARAYTUĞ, department head, Biology Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Mersin University. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Coşkun, vice department heads, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sevgiler and Prof. Dr. Muhsin Aydın, and faculty member Prof. Dr. Serdar Sönmez were present on behalf of Adıyaman University's Biology Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kayraldız, vice department head, Dr. Özlem Güven, and faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Kocabaş were present on behalf of Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University's Biology Department of the Faculty of Science. The main agenda items of the meeting consisted of applications that will enhance the professional capabilities of students. A consensus was reached on taking facilitating measures for students who will undergo internships between the three universities. Additionally, it was proposed to add a "Professional Competency Course" to the curriculum, distributed across different semesters, to allow students to experience different laboratory environments. This course aims to encourage students to gain experience not only in their own departments but also by working in other research laboratories within the university under the supervision of their advisors. Strengthening the curriculum in terms of language proficiency was another important topic discussed at the meeting.
