2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAMME WAS ORGANISED BY OUR FACULTY.

Following statements regarding the academic and administrative structure, our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN, provided information about our Faculty's education, teaching and academic work. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN stated that our Faculty, which has been fully accredited by ECZAKDER since January 2019, will be accredited for the second time until 2031, thus continuing its success. She also announced that our Faculty has the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TOF). She conveyed that Mersin University Faculty of Pharmacy has a competent and successful academic staff in its field, that many activities aimed at public health are organised, and that industrial cooperation protocols have been signed with Abdi İbrahim and Eczacıbaşı Pharmaceuticals.

Emphasising that they attach importance to art, culture and social activities as well as the education and training processes, Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN stated that the Faculty has implemented many social responsibility activities. She also drew attention to the University's strong academic and social infrastructure and recommended that students take advantage of these opportunities to develop themselves.

Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN emphasised the importance of students gaining internships and training through the Erasmus+, Farabi and Mevlana exchange programmes during their education and training processes. She also stated that participating in congresses, symposiums, conferences and workshops related to the field of pharmacy would contribute to their professional development. The Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Necmiye CANACANKATAN, concluded her speech by wishing our students a successful, happy, and healthy educational journey.

Prof. Mahmut ÜLGER, Acting Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Microbiology in the Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences; Prof. Gamze KÖKDİL, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy; Acting Head Prof. Bahar TUNÇTAN, Head of the Department of Pharmacology; Prof. Semra UTKU, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Prof. Dilek BATTAL Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Toxicology and Prof. Necmiye CANACANKATAN, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy in the Division of Pharmaceutical Professional Sciences and Prof. Nefise ÖZDEN ŞAHİN Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Head of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in the Division of Pharmaceutical Technology, Our faculty members and student groups participated programme.

The Department Heads introduced the academic staff of each Department and the educational processes of the Department, while the student societies presented the activities they had organised. The orientation programme concluded with a group photo session.
