A meeting was held at Mersin University Vocational School of Social Sciences on September 11, 2025, chaired by School Director Prof. Dr. Ä°lhan Ege, with the participation of Deputy Directors, Department Heads, and faculty members.

The main agenda of the meeting was the labeling of academic studies and courses in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Strengthening the sustainability perspective in academic and administrative processes was considered an important step in terms of institutional quality management. In his opening speech, School Director Prof. Dr. Ä°lhan Ege emphasized the importance of aligning academic activities with global goals and stated:

"It is of great importance that we adopt an approach aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals so that the academic work of our university and vocational school becomes visible not only at the national level but also at the international scale. This process will also be one of the fundamental pillars of our quality management and accreditation efforts. Together, we will continue to build a sustainable, innovative, and strong academic structure."

The meeting concluded with wishes and suggestions, and the decisions taken were unanimously approved and documented with a participation form.
