A certificate presentation ceremony was held at our university for students and academic project advisors whose projects were awarded support in the first semester of the 2024 TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B University Student Research Projects Support Program.

The ceremony, held on Friday, April 25th at our university's Prof. Dr. Uğur Oral Cultural Center, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mehmet İsmail Yağcı, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Çetin, Rector Advisors Prof. Dr. Ayla Özer, Prof. Dr. Fatih İlker Kara, Prof. Dr. Tuğba Yanpar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erhan Arslan, academic and administrative staff, and students.

Following a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar expressed his pleasure in being together to congratulate the students whose projects were awarded support at the associate and undergraduate levels under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B programs, as well as the academic advisors who guide them. Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar noted that 47 projects received support last year, and this year, 177. He said, “This significant increase is not only a quantitative achievement; it is also a concrete reflection of the ever-growing culture of scientific thinking, research-based learning, and innovative academic approach at our University.”

Following the opening remarks, the students and academics whose projects were awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A and 2209-B programs were called to the stage one by one, where they were presented with certificates of achievement by our Rector, Vice Rectors, and Advisors to the Rector.

Esra CİNKARA, Nihal KAVAK and Selin CİVAN, students of our department's Mathematics Teaching program, whose projects were deemed worthy of support, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meriç ÖZGELDİ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gamze KURT BİREL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet GÜLBURNU, who served as consultants in these projects, attended the ceremony.
