“antik Çağdan Günümüze Çocuk Oyunları” Etkinliği Gerçekleştirildi
As part of the 105th anniversary of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the "Children's Games from Antiquity to the Present" event was held at the Mersin Archaeology Museum to introduce children to cultural and historical values.
This meaningful program, held on April 24, 2025, was attended by students and teachers from Şehit Recep Aslan Primary School and prospective teachers from the Mersin University Faculty of Education's Department of Mathematics and Science.
The event aimed to provide children with fun and learning about history. Hosted by the Mersin Archaeology Museum, the event introduced students to the rich cultural heritage exhibited at the museum.
In addition, children's games from archaeological periods were adapted to the present day, allowing children to play. This way, both the culture of play and historical awareness were conveyed to students in an interactive way.
The program was organized in collaboration with the Mersin University Center for the Development of Learning and Teaching, Application and Research, and the Mersin Archaeology Museum, with the support of the Mersin Provincial Directorate of National Education. Mr. Adem Aslan, Director of the Basic Education Services Branch, also visited the event and met with the children.
On this special day, a cultural bridge extending from the past to the present was established.
