The "Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Determination of Ethyl Alcohol, Methanol, and Suma Production Quantities and Stock Movements in Ethyl Alcohol and Methanol Storage, the Determination of the Method for Product Trade, the Collection of Data, and the Transport of Products," which establishes the application procedures and principles for the Electronic Alcohol Tracking System (EATS), which enables the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to electronically and physically track the movement of ethyl alcohol and methanol within the market supply chain, was published in the Official Gazette dated July 18, 2024, and numbered 32605, and entered into force. With the enactment of the Communiqué, buyers and sellers of ethyl alcohol and methanol are required to register on the "Alcohol Trade Platform" (ATİP), developed by the relevant Ministry, and to conduct their trading transactions through ATİP.

Universities are also required to purchase ethyl alcohol and methanol through this platform. Accordingly, requests for ethyl alcohol and methanol to be used in Scientific Research Projects must be submitted to the BAP Unit, along with the petition and Form-9 shared below. This is for the attention of all concerned.
