The "Combating Disinformation Trainer Training" organized under the patronage of Mersin Governorship and coordinated by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications Adana Regional Directorate was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Mersin University Prof. Dr. UÄŸur Oral Cultural Center.

    Representing our Faculty, Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Ardıç Çobaner, Radio Television and Cinema Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz Bilgin Ãœlken and faculty members attended the training opening. In the afternoon program, our faculty's instructors participated in the training provided within the framework of disinformation education.

    The program was organized within the scope of the "Combating Disinformation Inter-Institutional Cooperation Protocol," and participants were provided with information on topics such as the social effects of disinformation, strategies for combating misinformation and the importance of media literacy.

    At the end of the training, the importance of increasing inter-institutional cooperation in effectively combating disinformation was emphasized, and it was stated that efforts in this area would continue.
