AFTER THE SIGNING CEREMONY ORGANISED FOR THE COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN OUR UNIVERSITY AND ECZACIBASI PHARMACEUTICALS, ECZACIBASI PHARMACEUTICALS GENERAL MANAGER DR. PHARM. BAŞBUĞ ÖKE VISITED OUR FACULTY.
A cooperation protocol was signed between our University and Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals to enable our Faculty students to interact with business people and benefit from professional experiences, to facilitate their adaptation to working life and to support their career plans.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Mehmet İsmail YAĞCI, Secretary General İsa Değirmenci, Dean of our Faculty Pharmacy Prof. Necmiye CANACANKATAN, General Manager of Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals Başbuğ ÖKE and Regional Manager Hakan SELVİLİ, Foreign Relations and Projects Coordinator Lecturer Mesut Salih UZMAN and Lecturer Duygu GENÇ and Faculty Secretary Volkan DARÇIN attended the signing protocol ceremony held in the Senate Room of our University on 19 December 2024,
At speaking during the signing protocol ceremony, Vice-Rector Prof. Mehmet İsmail YAĞCI stated that our University is in a very important position for the region and the city and that they attach great importance to our Faculty of Pharmacy. Prof. Mehmet İsmail YAĞCI said, ‘Serious investments are planned for our faculty and in addition to this, very serious studies are being carried out on accreditation for our faculty students to receive higher quality education. This protocol to be signed within the scope of sectoral cooperation, which is a part of these studies, is also very important. I would like to thank our Faculty and Eczacıbaşı for their contribution and participation. I wish them all the best.’
Dean of our Faculty Prof. Necmiye CANACANKATAN stated that the Faculty of Pharmacy, which is an accredited Faculty, always provides students with a patient-oriented and competent education and that one of the most important parts of this education is the cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry. Prof.CANACANKATAN said, ‘In this protocol, we signed within the scope of the directive on the transition to business life, we both provide communication with Eczacıbaşı and offer our students the opportunity to get to know the pharmaceutical industry by providing internship opportunities afterward. Moreover, it is very valuable that we carry out such an opportunity together with a very valuable pharmaceutical company in our country such as Eczacıbaşı. I would like to thank them and our University administration.’
Afterwards, PhD. Pharm. Başbuğ ÖKE, General Manager of Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals, said: ‘It is the greatest happiness for us to help our young friends as much as we can. I asked all my teammates to give lectures at the director level at the assistant general manager level so that the experts of this business can share their experiences with our students. You can be sure that our satisfaction in this regard is very high. As Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals, we are happy if we can support our students not only in pharmaceuticals but in every field. We are ready to mobilise every opportunity we can. I would like to thank you for thinking of us, preferring us and giving us such an opportunity.’
After the speeches, the protocol signing ceremony ended with the signing of mutual signatures and a collective photo session.
Following the signing of the protocol, General Manager of Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals PhD. Pharm. Başbuğ ÖKE and Regional Manager Hakan SELVİLİ visited Dean of our Faculty Necmiye CANACANKATAN in her office. Vice Deans of our Faculty Prof. Seyhan ŞAHAN FIRAT and Asst. Prof. Ş. Efsun ANTMEN and Faculty Secretary Volkan DARÇIN attended the visit.
“With the cooperation protocol signed in line with the ‘Directive on Transition to Business Life Courses’, Eczacibasi Pharmaceuticals will ensure that its senior managers with the necessary competence will provide training to the students of our Faculty within the scope of the ‘Sales Marketing in Pharmacy’ course”.
