The explanations regarding the Problem of the Month prize competition for all undergraduate and graduate students of Mersin University Department of Mathematics are as follows:

1. The problem of the month and the solution to the previous month's problem will be announced on the first day of each month on the department's website, department's Instagram account, and department bulletin boards.

2. Problem solutions must be sent via email to ayinproblemi@mersin.edu.tr by the last day of the relevant month.

3. Solutions will be evaluated in terms of correctness, completeness, and style. No points will be awarded for incorrect or incomplete solutions.

4. Each month's question will be worth ten points. The first five people to submit the correct answer will earn bonus points of 12-2n (n=1,...,5) based on their submission order.

5. The names of participants who correctly answered the problem and the current score ranking will be announced on the department's website and department bulletin boards.

6. At the end of the 2023-2024 Spring semester, based on the final ranking, the first place winner will receive a 400 TL book gift certificate, the second place 300 TL, and the third place 200 TL.
