The Social Services Associate Degree Program provides those who want to develop solutions to social problems and provide services to individuals experiencing social problems in various dimensions with the opportunity to specialize in their fields. It aims to provide educational development for individuals who want to specialize in the field theoretically and practically and are sensitive to social problems.

Individuals who receive social services education work as intermediate staff who have the qualities of organizer, planner, implementer, effective communication and leadership in rural and urban areas, public, private sector and non-governmental organizations. These intermediate staff assist individuals with their professional knowledge and skills in solving the problems of various groups such as children in need of protection, the elderly, the disabled, criminals, the poor, the sick and the unemployed; they carry out their work through institutions and by utilizing community resources for the social prevention and solution of these problems. Graduates of the Social Work Associate Degree program can work in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health, guidance and research centers affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Social Services and Child Protection Agency, the Social Security Institution, the Employment Agency, the State Planning Organization, provincial directorates of social services, rehabilitation centers, schools for the blind and the deaf, nurseries, orphanages, crèches and daycare centers, nursing homes, reformatories, prisons, and institutions related to population planning.
