About

Born in 1964 in Mersin, Mehmet İsmail Yağcı received his education in Barbaros Primary School, Tarsus American College and Ozark High School respectively., He received his bachelor’s degree at Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration. Afterwards, he completed his higher education at Wayne State University and Louisiana State University. Apart from his academic life, he worked in organizations such as Price Waterhouse, Çimsa and Economics Bank. Before working at Mersin University, he worked as an academician at Loyola University-New Orleans, Louisiana State University and Michigan State University. In Türkiye, he gave lectures at METU-KKK, Çag University, Cukurova University, Toros University and Atılım University., He has served as an administrator at Mersin University at various levels since 2005. Finally, he has been serving as Vice Rector since 2014.

Prof. AHMET HAKAN ÖZTÜRK

About

Born in 1967 in Mersin, Ahmet Hakan Öztürk completed his secondary education at Tarsus American College. He completed his higher education at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and graduated on March 13, 1992. He completed his PhD in the department of Anatomy at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1994-1998. In 1999, he was appointed to Mersin University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy as the founder with the title of assistant professor. In 2002, he was appointed as associate professor and as professor in 2007 at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine. In 2005, he did scientific research as a visiting researcher at the Montreal Neurological Institute of McGill University for 4 months. Between 2016 and 2022, he served as the Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Mersin University. Since January 2023, he has been serving as the Vice Rector of Mersin University. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hakan Öztürk is married and has one child.

Prof. MEHMET ÇAĞRI ÇETİN

About

Mehmet Çağrı ÇETİN was born on December 18, 1977 in the district of Dörtyol (Hatay). He received his primary, secondary and high school education in Dörtyol. In 2000, he completed his undergraduate education at Selçuk University, School of Physical Education and Sports and started to work as a research assistant at the same university in 2001. In 2003, he completed his master's degree at Selçuk University and in 2009 he completed his doctorate education at Gazi University. Between 2009-2017, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Sports Sciences. Receiving the title of Associate Professor in 2015, he served as Head of Recreation Department, Head of Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department and Faculty Board Member at various times. Çetin, who has been at Mersin University since 2017, received the title of Professor in 2020. Between 2021-2024, he served as the Dean of Faculty of Sports Sciences. In addition to the Presidency of Mersin University Development Foundation, he is also the Vice President of the University Sports Federation of Türkiye. Çetin has various research articles in national and international refereed journals and scientific meetings. He has been serving as Vice Rector of Mersin University since February 2023. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Çetin is married and has two children.
