Mersin University School of Physical Education and Sports was founded in 1999. This school was composed of two departments. The first was department of physical education and sports. The second was department of sport coaching education. There have been total 259 undergraduate students enrolled in the academic year of 2015-2016 including 120 female and 139 male in this school. There are 20 faculty members including one professor, four associate professors, six assistant professors, five teaching assistants, three instructors and one research assistant. Also, there have been a total of 12 staff in administrative office and other services. There are seven classrooms, one seminar room, one sports gym containingthree basketball courts, one exercise physiology, one biomechanics laboratory and psychology laboratory in this school.
