Website News Publishing Criteria
The criteria for the news that are deemed appropriate and inappropriate to be included in the news tab on the main page of the Mersin University website (www.mersin.edu.tr) are as follows;
The news to be published on the main page of our university website should be in the following topics;
- All events, statements, cooperation - protocol signing ceremonies, visits, etc. attended by the Rectorate (Rector, Vice Rectors).
- Achievements of our academic and administrative staff and students, awards they have received, important projects they have realized, etc,
- Important events, visits, cooperation - protocol agreements of the academic and administrative staff and students of our University, provided that they are all relevant,
- Events, openings, visits, etc. with protocol participation (President, Minister, MP, Governor, etc.),
- Events such as conferences, panels, concerts, ceremonies, etc. held on official days and weeks (National Holidays, Commemoration Programs, etc.).
The news that are not appropriate to be published on the main page of our university website are as follows;
- Activities such as staff training, student activities, etc. organized by academic and administrative units within their units,
- Events organized or hosted by academic and administrative units, without protocol participation, and not intended for the interest of the entire University and the public,
- All activities of student societies, except for activities that are evaluated within the scope of social responsibility activities (sapling planting, aid campaigns, information events, etc.) and events that are newsworthy and where public figures of public interest are hosted,
- News of personal visits (except for the Rector and Vice Rectors)
NOTE: News that are not deemed appropriate to be published on the homepage may be published on the departments' own websites or social media accounts.
