Mersin University Youth Academy is a multifaceted center established to support children and young people in developing competencies in science, art, and technology. The academy has undertaken a wide range of activities, from scientific and technological training to artistic workshops, from national and international projects to social awareness activities.

Our goal is to contribute to the development of creative, thinking, researching, technologically literate, and socially well-equipped individuals. Through local and international collaborations, our academy strengthens the learning experiences of children and young people while also aiming to equip them with 21st-century skills.

In this context, the following types of activities are conducted:

Our 2025 Activities:

01/01/2025: The Youth Academy New Year's Concert was held. Students participating in the Instrument Workshops led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ersin Turhal performed at the year-end concert.

21/01/2025-26/01/2025: Seda Ceylin KUZU, one of our Instrument Workshop students, participated in the 6th International Adana Rhapsody Piano Festival and Competition, held from January 21-26, 2025.

01/02/2025: We supported STEM & MAKER Fest Expo'25 with three of our workshops.

21/02/2025: TED Mersin College held two days of science and technology workshops at the Youth Academy for 4th-grade primary school students and their teachers.

03/03/2025: 2nd-year students from the Science Education Department of the Faculty of Education visited the Youth Academy and received information about workshop opportunities and activities.

06/03/2025: 15 high school students from Romania participated in technology and STEM activities organized for them as part of the Erasmus KA 121 project, "IT education, integration of cultural issues into education, and awareness of SEN," implemented by the Innovative Education and Entrepreneurship Association.

March 13, 2025: Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Erol Yaşar, organized a "University-Industry and Media Collaboration Meeting" to share activities and developments at Mersin University, strengthen collaborations with industry and the media, and identify goals. Officials from various media and industry organizations in the city attended the meeting, held at the Youth Academy.

March 22, 2025: Students from the Department of Mathematics Education at Mersin University's Faculty of Education visited the Youth Academy, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meriç Özgeldi, and received information about the planned April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day events.

March 21, 2025: Fifth-grade students from Toroslar Candan Merzeci Secondary School, accompanied by School Principal Güsel Kazel and teachers Gonca Gün and Pınar Özdemir, visited the Youth Academy and participated in activities organized for them.

March 27, 2025: Şerife HASOĞLU DOKUCU, Head of the Women and Family Services Department at the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, and her team visited our center. They exchanged ideas on projects and collaborations.

April 23, 2025: The Nesibe Aydın Schools Mersin Campus held its April 23rd ceremony at the Youth Academy Cinema.

April 27, 2025: The end-of-term concert by students from the Okçu Art Center was held at the Youth Academy Cinema.
