in 1996, under the name Stone Metal management in Silifke vocational school opened this program since 1997, under the name of Mersin Vocational Applied Jewelry Technology. Then the name changed from Mersin University, Department of crafts, jewelry, and Jewelry Design program as continuing education.

Students who graduate from this program in Turkey; Gemology and jewelry, design classes, vocational courses of the knowledge and skills necessary in parallel with developing technology;.
