Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology
Establishment Information
The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program, housed within Mersin University Technical Sciences Vocational School, was established in 1992 within the framework of the YOK-World Bank II. Industrial Education Project. It began formal (first track) education by admitting students in the 1994-1995 academic year. The Formal and Second Track programs were carried out concurrently with the opening of the Second Track in the 1998-1999 academic year. Currently, only the Formal Education track is being conducted. Since 2010, the program has continued its educational activities as an affiliate of the Department of Electrical and Energy.
Graduation Requirements
A diploma is awarded to students who successfully complete all courses available in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS), achieve a minimum weighted grade point average of 2.0 out of 4.00, and complete their 20 work-day vocational internship.
Department Facilities
Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Laboratory and Computer Laboratory facilities, established within the scope of the YÖK-World Bank Project, are available.
