Computer Programming Program
1.Short History
In the 1996-1997 academic year, Computer Programming was opened under the Department of Technical Programs and the first students were enrolled in the same period. The name of the program changed to its current form in the following years. Secondary education started in 1998. In this program with 55 student quota, there are three permanent teaching staff. The program's 20-computer i5 PC laboratory is used together with other programs of our School.
2.Purpose of Establishment
In parallel with the rapid developments in the information sector in recent years, the use of computer technology in business life and contemporary life has increased rapidly. Computer technology and programming is the field related to computer use, software development (for PC, network environment and internet), hardware, maintenance, repair, installation and management of computer networks. Students who graduate as computer technicians are trained to specialize both theoretically and practically.
3.Main courses taught in the program
In this program, Basic Electronics, Programming basics, graphics and animation, computer hardware, office software, visual programming, database, web design basics, internet programming, object oriented programming, network basics, server operating systems, business management, quality assurance and standards, research techniques and seminar courses are the main courses for professional qualification.
4.Qualifications and Fields of Study for Graduates
Students who graduate from the program are employed in the computer sector, technical services and businesses in line with the qualifications they have gained. Graduates of the program can make their own initiatives as well as; They will be able to fill the gap of IT personnel needed in information processing, software, hardware, communication networks or maintenance and repair services of public and private sector organizations.
5. Departments to be applied with Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS)
Those who complete this two-year program can continue their studies in computer engineering, software engineering, computer teaching, computer and instructional technology teaching, information technology, physics, statistics, information technologies, space engineering departments at the end of the vertical transfer exam conducted by ÖSYM. In addition, all graduates have the opportunity to continue to the Open Education Faculty economics or business administration departments from the third grade and complete their bachelor's degree.
