INFORMATION ABOUT INTERNSHIPS

Is internship mandatory?
Yes, internship is mandatory for all students in their second year.

Where can I do my internship?
You can complete your internship in any public or private institution related to your department/program.

When can I do my internship?
You can complete your internship during one of the six periods determined by our school. The application and start dates are listed in the table below:

How can I apply for an internship?
After filling out the Internship Application Form completely, you can deliver it in person or by mail/cargo to:
Mersin Vocational School (Distance Education)
Yenişehir Campus, Akkent Neighborhood, Yenişehir / MERSİN.





What should I pay attention to when filling out the Internship Application Form?
The form must include the official stamp and signature of the institution where you will do your internship, as well as the signature of the supervising instructor. Incomplete forms will not be processed.

How many days is the internship?
The internship lasts 30 working days. Official holidays and weekends are not counted as internship days.


How can I find out if my internship application has been accepted?
After submission, you will be notified whether your internship has been approved via the email address registered in the system.

Will I be insured during my internship?
Yes. During your internship, the school provides occupational accident and disease insurance coverage.


What should I do after completing my internship?
After completing your internship, you must fill out all internship documents completely, compile them into a file, and send them to the school by mail or in person. Your internship will then be recorded in the system following the next Internship Committee meeting.


Can I be exempted from the internship requirement?
Yes, you may apply for internship exemption if you have worked at least one year in a job related to your field of study under social insurance.


What should I pay attention to in the exemption form?
Your exemption form must include a photo, and the job description and duties sections must be filled out completely and signed.
Additionally, you must attach your social insurance statement (“Sigorta Dökümü”) to the form as proof of employment.


Will I receive any payment during my internship?
No. Our school does not provide any financial payment to students for their internships.


How can I get the mandatory internship letter?
You can request it by submitting a written petition. The document will be sent to you via email.
