Marine Transport and Management
Maritime Transportation and Management Program conducts training to train "Watch Officers". In addition to the basic courses, the program training plan includes vocational courses within the content of IMO Model Course 7.03 (AII/1), which are compulsory within the scope of watchkeeping officer training. Maritime Transportation and Management Program aims to raise graduates who keep up with the requirements of the age and technological developments in their field and who are competent to work in an internationally recognized profession.
Students who graduate from the Maritime Transportation and Management Program can work as "Watch Officer" provided that they do a 12-month offshore internship and pass the professional exams.

Mersin; While it creates many employment opportunities in the maritime sector with its international port, free zone, maritime and logistics businesses, 321 km coastline and seasonal advantages; There is also a need for qualified and fully equipped seafarer personnel who have knowledge and skills at international standards, love maritime, and have advanced command of foreign languages. Research shows that there are currently approximately 500 thousand officers working in the world's merchant marine fleets, but the officer deficit is at the level of 2%-5%, that is, between 10000 and 25000. Our students who will graduate from the Maritime Transportation and Management Program will be able to work as "Watch Officers" provided that they do a 12-month offshore internship and pass the exams to be held by the Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs.
