Curriculum Unit and Material Develeopment Unit

The Program and Material Development Unit operates to improve the quality of the institution's education and training and to ensure that curricula are up-to-date. The unit's core duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Program Development

Develop, update, and revise foreign language curricula in line with current language teaching approaches, institutional objectives, and student needs.

Ensure curriculum compliance with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) standards.

Determine course objectives, learning outcomes, and assessment criteria.

Design appropriate curricula for students at different levels (e.g., A1, A2, B1, etc.).

Material Development

Select, develop, or adapt the institution's textbooks, workbooks, online resources, and supporting materials.

Prepare original materials (sample activities, listening passages, exam samples, etc.) for faculty members to use in their classes.

Verify the pedagogical and linguistic appropriateness of course materials.

Research and Development

To monitor and integrate new approaches, technologies, and materials related to language teaching into programs.

To collect feedback from faculty and students on teaching practices and make improvements accordingly.

Training and Support

To organize in-service training for faculty on material use, lesson planning, and program implementation.

To support new faculty in adapting to the program and materials.

To provide solutions to material- or program-related problems encountered during the teaching process.

Cooperation and Coordination

To ensure the alignment of exam content with program objectives by collaborating with the Measurement and Evaluation Unit.

To contribute to the continuous improvement of educational quality by working in coordination with the Quality Commission.

To collaborate with the preparatory coordinator, faculty, and administrative units when necessary.

Documentation and Reporting

To ensure the archiving of all documents related to the developed programs and materials.

To prepare a report on the work completed at the end of the year and share it with the administration.

To contribute to institutional development by documenting the results of program and material evaluations.
