Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center
The Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center was established and announced in the Official Gazette dated November 7, 2016, under number 29881.
The Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center consists of 1 Director, 1 Deputy Directors, and 1 Chief. The Center's Board of Management includes 5 faculty members under the chairmanship of the Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center.
The Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center operates on the ground floor of the Prof. Dr. Uğur Oral Culture Center building, within the Quality Management Coordination Office.
Activities of the Occupational Health and Safety Application and Research Center:
· Conducting scientific research, application, and examination related to occupational health and safety both domestically and internationally, participating in and supporting such studies in clinical practice.
· Organizing national and international courses, seminars, conferences, congresses, symposiums, and other scientific events on occupational health and safety.
· Supporting educational activities at undergraduate and graduate levels in universities, providing application and research opportunities related to these educational programs.
· Publishing printed and visual materials, establishing a library and archive to monitor developments and publications in the field of occupational health and safety.
· Establishing collaborations and working with relevant public institutions and organizations, employee and employer organizations, universities, institutions active in occupational health and safety, and social partner representatives.
· Building a network of communication with national and international organizations and professionals working in the field of occupational health and safety.
· Providing training programs for workers, employers, and their representatives, as well as for professionals working in this field.
· Contributing to university-industry collaboration efforts, addressing service provision, examination, research, project, and consultancy requests from different institutions, organizations, and workplaces in the field of occupational health and safety, and coordinating and organizing among university units involved in these activities.
· Contributing to public awareness and consciousness in the field of occupational health and safety, and protecting the health and safety of employees.
· Assisting in the creation, maintenance, and coordination of units providing occupational health and safety services within the university or in collaboration with other entities, in accordance with relevant legislation.
· Developing, implementing, and publishing project and research proposals in the field of occupational health and safety, and collaborating with university units and other institutions and organizations for this purpose.
· Carrying out other activities as decided by the Board of Management.
