Institute of Fine Arts


Mersin University Institute of Fine Arts has been established in the 2010-2011 academic year in accordance with the 2547 Law by  transferring the assets from the Institute of Social Sciences with active major art departments.

Institute of Fine Arts  has committed to graduate universally preferable individuals who are embraced both traditional and contemporary art understanding of classical art training, capable of producing original artworks, highly creative, having ability to participate and organize national and international Fine Art activities with the universal thinking by means of the young, studious, adequate artist and academic staff within the institute’s  structure i.e. Fine Arts Faculty and  the Conservatory.

The foremost goal of the Institute is to graduate students who are bound to the Ataturk's principles and the Revolution, sensitive to the problems of the country, having ability to use technology,  respectful to the universal values,  creative and able to think independently, , participatory and collaborative, respectful  to the nature and people, preferred  internationaly l in accordance with the academic qualifications and standards.
