Department of Curriculum and Instruction
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction, with 3 professors, 4 associate professors, 1 assistant professor, and 2 research assistants, provides postgraduate education in its field. The master's program in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction started in 2003, the doctoral program in 2006, and the non-thesis master's program began in 2015. The aim of the program is to offer higher-level education and research opportunities to graduates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education or pedagogical formation program at the Faculty of Education. The program aims to train students who have gained the ability to access, evaluate, interpret, and disseminate knowledge to broad audiences. Additionally, it prepares these students for the next level, the doctoral program, and directs them towards a professional career both within and outside the university. It aims to contribute to the training of expert educators who can meet the needs and expectations of the school and business world, understand and analyze universal concepts, and possess strategic thinking skills. In short, the goal is to train "curriculum development experts" who can work as academics in universities or propose and develop educational programs in various institutions in the field of Curriculum and Instruction.
